I have worked for 4 different insurance companies in 17 years and currently with Allstate the last 5. I have worked incustomer service, claims, product support, and other departments with each. I have been equally dissatisfied with each for different reasons and all had the relatively same toxicity of their environments and "culture". My advice is if you are dissatisfied and miserable here then change industries as aside from some moderate pay differences and a few benefits working for insurance companies are all the same pretty much.

What would be a good industry to move to? I have 16 years in auto insurance claims/auto estimating but that’s it. I have a “business” degree which are a dime a dozen. I feel like there is nothing that will pay close to what I make. I want to move to a different industry but don’t know where to go. I will consider anything at this point
I can say as a customer I have mostly dissatisfied with all of my insurance companies. Maybe a necessary evil, but it is becoming harder to write that check.
