Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Any more reorgs this quarter?

Seems like changes won’t occur until after the holidays? NACT has to re-org again at some point, just a gut feeling…

Do not worry about stuff you can't control. Keep an emergency fund, don't get in debt, keep your expenses low, update your resume, practice interviewing skills. These are difficult times in the industry, everywhere.

I know on major reorg that need to happen soon, it will effect most of SA in OCI. Any SA will require to change his title to PM or leave to a new org of SA. I know on 2 friend that all ready change the role.

If not this year it will be brutal next year because nobody is needed to sell a cloud nobody wants. OCI's only survival will primarily be because the applications and is going to really be dependent on how well they continue to sell. Who knows, down the road Oracle might migrate those to AWS, Azure and GCP too. There is really no market demand for OCI skills. Don't believe use LinkedIn and see how many companies are asking for it.
