Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Cost of incompetent managers

How are the managers in your groups. Managers are extremely incompetent in MSO.

They just snark and attack employees, play employees against each other, rampant favoritism and HR does nothing about this

There is a cost attached to this, employees are demoralized, contribute bare minimum and there is high turnover.

Is it so hard for leadership to see this ?

I left Intel after the last big layoff. I was not impacted by layoff. The new manager was cr-p. All that has been said by original post is true. Glad I quit. I got better experience and learning in smaller company and this year I landed a higher paying job in another company working on future technology. Very happy. What is learnt is to not wait. Take action when things are calm.

Guys , not all managers are cr-p , while some definitely are and they are dependent on their cr-p ICs to survive , so bad manager is not alone but existing/hanging in their with some cr-p IC resources who support him…

It's the same toxic cesspool in AXG too.

Textbook example of the adage, "people don't leave bad jobs, they leave bad bosses." Plenty of ICs (various GLs and years of experience) have left due to bad managers in AXG.

There are only 2 types of groups in MSO. Those in TF and those with their thumbs up their ar-e.

Isn’t there a components group that the BUs don’t even resource? I heard the hours are from 10-3, if you schedule a meeting outside those hours, no one will show up!

Yes, OTF Dielectrics (Ocotillo site in Chandler, AZ) is one of these groups. This is exactly what happened. It even had a module almost continuously in taskforce for 5 years and kept firing people from it before they could solve the problem.
