Federal warn doesnt apply here, the last comment is just cherry picking the law.
....provide at least 60 calendar days advance written notice of a plant closing and mass layoff affecting 50 or more employees at a SINGLE SITE of employment. Key words, single site, I'm guessing those are being worked around.
Doesn't federal WARN require 60 days of notification?
Federal WARN does not apply if:
- Less than 50 people laid off at a single site.
- 50-499 laid off at a single site, but that is less than 33% of the site.
California WARN is different

You're right. If anyone was let go and only offered 30 days notification, contact or State's Department of Labor NOW.
Don't sign the Seagate document until you get clarification.

CA folks get 60 days of pay + extra month of benefits.
