Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

RE: Outstanding Commissions and Bonuses

Depending on your relationship with your client and as long as it's not production gear you can have your team forward you postdated POD's that you can have your customer sign to bill for the month. A lot of my clients are in a hurry to spend their annual budget so they don't mind signing for undelivered gear. Everyone wins and I hope this helps, comrade.

It would be great if our December commissions were paid out early now that the backlog is flowing.

Could just make up a serial number for the POD? When/if the product actually shows up just cross off serial number on the machine and write the made up one on it from POD? By the time the gear actually shows up you’ll probably be long gone anyway and someone else can deal with it.

Yeah, and NO! If the devices are not delivered, it doesn't matter if the customer signs a POD. The serial numbers, order number and all associated docs regarding the order show as undelivered (and most likely that the equipment has not even been sent to a FSL) it cant be billed. If it doesnt bill, no way to get paid - it is called GAAP accounting. The other and very obvious flaw to the OP’s comment is that a POD must include the serial numbers. How do you plan on getting serial numbers for equipment that has not yet shipped?

After the next SEC violation ruling, Xerox will once again “vehemently deny any wrongdoing” and commit to doing better moving forward. Sarbanes & Oxley got nothin on this clown show. A couple disgruntled former XBS sales directors could whistleblow this company to utter catastrophe.

“What’s the distinction between rules and guidelines?”
Distinction depends on if you get caught or don’t.

Amazing! Can you also recognize services in leases as present day cash value?
