Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Suggestions Gathered from this Forum

  1. Employees fear retaliation from surveys, People Leaders know who they mistreat so they know who reponded negatively
  2. Post the anonymous hotline contact information for all employees to feel comfortable. There is a lack of trust, how can we build trust?
  3. Offer courses on workplace bullying (what it is and how to prevent it and especially how to handle it)
  4. Layoffs are inevitable in any organization ( not sure how to address this)
  5. Career Growth- some People leaders don’t promote good performing employees. There are articles that discuss this with 60-70% of companies keeping bad bosses. Insecurities, egos and etc. Why they keep them we may never know. This is fact and studies prove this.
  6. This company is listed as a great place to work, I agree that it is. I also agree that this forum should not exist if there were trust within the organization. Provide a good outlet for employees to boost morale. If you are a good leader speak up. This affects the bottom line of companies failing.

Stay positive!!

Bad bosses=Financial losses and at this point they have meetings to schedule the next meeting just to say they had a meeting. Positive or negative outlook, numbers don’t lie.

I will be a positive leader here. Its seems thus far this post has not elicited positive responses. I think the points you make are concerns I have encountered during my time as a individual contributor. I am now in a leadership position and try to be “the leader I never had”. Although it wont happy overnight in my department (I cant speak for all) there has been positive changes in all the aforementioned areas. Since our entire leadership structure engages monthly, we address these issues and concerns and look for ways to make things better. Thats all we can do. I noticed the people causing the issues, bullying, etc gradually left over time and were replaced with good leaders. In terms of this site, its not Centene only. Type any good (or bad) organization into google and you will find their respective page for each company.

Current Parent Company Name: Centene
Ownership Structure: publicly traded (ticker symbol CNC)
Total fines since 2000: $1,113,878,222 (Not including recent news Re: Texas 166 Mil)

Do you really think they give a sh-t about people, employees, or morale?

It's a lovely observation, and it's cute that you are looking for positivity and solutions. One huge stone you didn't overturn... The problem you are trying to solve is end-game capitalism amplified because health "insurance" as explained in its best light is a semi-legal criminal enterprise.
