Let’s see 3rd quarter was likely the last “good” results quarter.. The winds have shifted, consumers are balking at the sky high prices, inventory levels will rise, Ford will need to deeply discount the high priced vehicles to move the inventory, Ford profits will be halved in 2023. There will be quarterly 2023 culls to reduce costs. Of course there will also be a 2022 cull post VSSP.

Ford just isn’t set up to make enough profit off of the Maverick ( the vehicle people are willing to buy - lower cost vehicle). It is just the gateway vehicle to convincing people to buy a 70K F150. So bye bye USA and Europe salaried workers. Hello Brazil, Mexico, China, India workers.

Ongoing . I want Ford to succeed, not fail. But the entire management philosophy needs to go. Stop being woke , green, and caring and start engineering and building the best damn vehicles.

Month to 6 weeks after the coordinated major media leak of 5000 more cuts to go.

If it's going to happen, would actually prefer pre-thanksgiving so I can throttle holiday spending accordingly. Imagine booking holiday travel/dining, gifts for family, decor, festive entertainment, etc. and then getting laid off after spending everything instead of before.
