Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

How does DXC get away without paying increases year on year (I have simple theory)

ever wondered how DXC gets away with promising pay increases but never delivers. I think snr mgt work on a simple theory that new employees will take a few years (maybe 3 or more) to figure out that the pay promise is an illusion and leave.

Those that leave are replaced with new employees that again believe for a few years that pay rises will happen and then leave and the cycle starts again.. Those that don't leave after a few years accept that lack of a payrise but consider other reasons for staying.

Lord LoveLength is correct. At some point, a victim becomes a volunteer. Get out on your terms. I doubt you will regret doing so.

The answer is simple. DXC leadership, despite what Sal says, doesn’t care about you. Neither do they care about clients, or about shareholders. The only thing they care about is rewarding themselves.

If you don’t like it, brush up your CV, get interviews, go and work for a more ethical company (it’s not difficult to find companies that are more ethical than DXC).

If you stay, then you accept more poor treatment, no raises, and ultimately you will be laid off anyway. Why wait? Leave on your terms, not theirs.

Smart guys will definitely get a job outside in a startup or in leading techs like Amazon, Google, Microsoft etc. But alas most of dxc'ers are so outdated and have limited marketable skills - so just don't complain.

I worked for Reuters in a senior IT position and always achieved a bonus and pay rise - Thomson Financial then merged with Reuters and i got 0 for the next four years. What did i do ? I moved on to a better company that showed its appreciation by giving cost of living pay increases and bonus based on performance. Go do the same.

Do you REALLY want to know how they get away with it? They hire people like YOU who accept their B.S. and then bit%h and moan on forums like this about how "po' lil' ole me never gets a pay raise at DXC". If you want to change your life, CHANGE YOUR LIFE!! You're not going to do it by pi----g on an internet forum. This is EXACTLY how they get away with it....complete apathy in it's most futile form, the "too lazy to find another job" type.. They are ALL OVER the DXC twerk-force.
