Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Some of Mary's promises she told to outsiders

Quite a good spin sold to Wall Street and investors "pay the people"

Our first initiative was to embark on a Pay the People campaign. There was no regular pay review cycle in the
company when we arrived. We fixed that immediately for our offshore talent and specifically for India in January of

We asked, they told us they hadn't had pay reviews, and we took action. We did what we
said we were going to do, to pay the people.
In fiscal 2021, we then committed to paying the annual bonus when we delivered results for the company.

Through these actions, we're
building trust with our people.
And currently, we are introducing that piece that was missing, that annual salary process review is – it happens
every year. It will be predictable for them. It will occur as a part of the annual performance and reward cycle. So,
we are ensuring that every year, our people as a part of their receiving their performance, they will – their pay will
be reviewed relative to market. This is the new DXC.

Run away now. If your still there in 2024 when DXC has 'stabalized' annual revenues to under $10b + 2 years of cost of living crisis - today will seem luxurious!

Folks: DXC lies. It lies to everyone - shareholders, staff, & clients.

If you listen to Shouty & Steak-Cutter2, and believe thẹm, you’re going to be in for a world of disappointment.

Technically not lies. The had pay reviews and determined pay was just right. They committed to bonus. Didn't say they actually paid the bonus.

The company isnt doing well thats why they have to slash 500 million before year end. They lied to the stock holders and all of us. Mary , Mike should have had pay cuts not increases for driving the company down so far. The board and Executive team should forfeit stock options and part of their pay till they can give merit increases again . I know of American corporations that did just that!

It's just disgusting how not only Mike but his ex Accenture gang are the only ones on decent money and getting raises.

It's so blatant, obscene, un ethical.

How they live this way they have no human feeling, thought, or compassion for others and the difficulties they face.

Yes many on here ridiculed that at the time, including Indian staff who wondered which India she was referring to, since none of them had received a pay review and as for the bonus, yes, that was indeed paid to the top tier of VP’s. For everyone else, tales of bonus and pay reviews existed only in Mary Earache Finch’s head alongside the fluffy pink unicorns, the skittles rainbow and a talking fish named Mike.

However it did set DXC precedent for DXC being highly capable fabricators of the truth and spin when it came to convincing shareholders and investors. The large pay rises for themselves at a time when people were losing their jobs was felt highly inappropriate by most, especially when the company kept failing to achieve its own targets.

Let’s be honest, if the company was doing as well as they say it is, there would not be so many and continued work force reductions. But as we know greed is what drives these people and what’s left is usually a smoking pile of ash.
