How many people who are actually "POOR PERFORMERS" think they are poor performers? Do you really think they are going to "volunteer" for a package?
HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Just got hinted by an LL4 that there are more cuts definitely happening. He wouldn't give details (what, wher, when), but it was clear that there was more coming.

Hold onto your butts.

True dat - leak to press on Friday, let workers stew / calm down on weekend, have meetings/send out email on Monday. Tried and true Ford game.

I think there is a lot of truth that transpires from rumors. I don't think people are just stirring up cr-p. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if top management creates a lot of these rumors because they don't have the guts or "COURAGE" they are always talking about, to "DO THE RIGHT THING" and cut the dead-weight the "RIGHT WAY!"

"I think there are just a lot of trolls coming here... people who enjoy bullying, insulting and putting down others, anonymously without consequences. Makes them feel powerful and important because deep down they know that they are "little people" of no importance at all."

I think anybody who by their own opinion is " important" enough to call other people "little" and "of no importance at all" is the one with the problem.

I would not assume there is any logic or rationale from the top of the house, or any kind of intentional or thoughtful restructuring or re-orging. Its like Black Friday in stores no one knows what is going on. They don't know if the dust is settled or the dust is just starting. Been random and mostly chaotic since Rev Jim Hack-case so what has changed?

If staff cuts could solve Ford's problems, all Ford's problems would have been solved by now.

I too enjoyed the no as----e rule
I can count on one hand, with digits remaining the number of LL above me/ that I regularly deal with who are NOT flaming as----es. It actually seems to be a job requirement at F. LOL

Strange thing that the Ford leaders convince themselves that they are what matters and everyone below them are replaceable cogs with little to no skill.
The reality is that sprinkled throughout Ford are critical unsung heroes who are actually the people who matter. They do the right thing and fight the good fight.
Witnessed one windbag leader for 25 years claim he was the savior and know all and be all. In reality there were three tech spec LL6 under him who were running the department ensuring innovation occurred while protecting the current business. After he SRD the three tech spec LL6 things fell apart. First he claimed people were sabotaging him, then he hired more people, fired people, hired more people then he “retired”. Unfortunately there are many narcissistic windbags at Ford in positions of power.

how shortsighted and stupid is bill ford and farley and field - everyone is aware if you have 25+ years of service with a pension it doesn't matter how exceptional you are - you will be cut - yet doug field sends out a bs bulk email about acquiring talent - i especially enjoyed the no as----e rule! - over the past years ford has systemically eliminated great passionate people with integrity and has earned one of the worst reputations - the best graduates won't even consider ford and its because of ' leaderships ' stupidity
hey doug, you want the best people - do the right thing - get rid of farley to start - hold bill jr accountable and examine each department deeply to find the fakes and eliminate them - oh and stop the ageism

50% of the employees in my department are pension eligible. If they all leave there will be chaos. Also, many of the newbies have left because there is no incentive to stay (they just get the experience and leave). Of course, upper management probably doesn't care. They just want the numbes.

The leadership tree is 50% overweight. It’s wise for people nearing retirement to take a good look at leaving before EOY.

Since this is Ford what will happen is the skilled competent people will exit as they can get contracting gigs if they want to work a few more years. The scammers and blowhards will remain as 1) they think another promotion is just around the corner for them (and the odds increase as good people exit) and 2) jobs for unskilled gasbags are few and far between outside of Ford.

Beware of coworkers trying to convince you to take actions that are not beneficial to you.

According to a LL4, it is expected that 40% of LL's will retire this year. She said that to her spvrs. Many of those LL's will be 55+ years old with at least 25+ years in service. According to her, some LL's already submitted paperwork to HR. All of them are expected to claim the Lump Sum.
Underbody Systems has roughly 25 LL's with at least 25 years in service. That Div is expected to be hit hard again. Some department merges are underway and it is quite probable (this is a speculation) that Underbody Director an a Chief Engineer will retire, both have 30+ years in service. Sad to see competent people leave

Highly doubt there will be any more reductions this year. Too much churn and they will see how many retire for the lump. There will be many , as high as 2-3k retirements

Some departments were given an extension for October from August. If cuts don’t happen this month, Nov 21st sounds like the next possible date.

I am hearing late Nov. However the could be targeted at specific organizations.

It is unlikely they are going to make cuts to the salaried workforce until they see who will be gone with retirements. I realize this sort of opinion draws a lot of negative reactions, but that's only because 75% of the people on this site are here to stir up s^&t and think they're scaring people into retirement, quiet quitting or leaving.
