Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Over 40 and terminated at T-Mobile?

All employees over the age of 40 are a protected class under the Age Discrimination Act. If you feel like you were terminated because of your age, sue the f*ck out of the company! 10 years wages at least. There are plenty of good attorneys out there that specialize in employment law.

To get the severance package you need to sign the document that says you will not sue TMUS. That is what I am doing. Not going to bother with a lawsuit that dozens of TMUS lawyers have prepared to fight. Do whatever you want. Make your own decision. This is not legal or financial advice. It is just what I am doing. Taking the money and starting a new life. A world of opportunities awaits. BTW - I am not heartbroken - I never believed Sievert when he said he loved me LO- L

They gave enough over 40 folks a lateral change to be able to say they weren't targeting the over 40.

TMUS wants you gone! They just want you to go away quietly. Start a new career, but get outta telecom. Being in telecom today is like being in IT in the 1980's! Layoff after layoff, in an overcrowded industry!

Git outta here, the only winners are the lawyers. You get pennies, they get benjamins! Wise up!

Sprint was sued for this exact thing in the early 2000's. Every employee that sued won big
