Bellevue wants more control. Watch for the vendors like Nokia and Ericsson to take over maintenance, monitoring and deployment of their equipment in the network. Regions will basically be eliminated. Everything will be planned and controlled from Bellevue.
Also Legacy Sprint's Wireline is being sold/spun off. TMO would rather pay competitors for backhaul service than to use a redundant network it owns. Paying ATT and Verizon for backhaul service seems like an odd business model. Every large outage that makes national news is because of a competitor's fiber cut. Not Legacy Sprints.
