...This merger is all about creating new, high-quality, high-paying jobs, and the New T-Mobile will be jobs-positive from Day One and every day thereafter. That’s not just a promise. That’s not just a commitment. It’s a fact."
This was the message T-Mobile delivered to deceive and convince the government, the public, and the employees of T-Mobile and Sprint that the merging of these two wireless carriers would be a benefactor to society. T-Mobile is rolling out layoffs in phases and as quietly as possible to avoid and skirt the WARN act where applicable. There are hundreds of T-Mobile employees that have lost their jobs this 35th week of 2022 and in the months leading up to the 35th week with more planned into at least early 2023. Some of these people have only known a career at T-Mobile and have nothing else as this is all they know. The jobs T-Mobile intends to create are offshore and contracted managed services; not internal as their countless "merger positive" pitches have suggested. T-Mobile has broken its promises to the government, the public, and its employees about its intentions. T-Mobile has also neglected its responsibility to protect customer and employee data as shown in the data breach of August 2021. The company is a mine field of cybersecurity threats and continues to operate a network that is not safe or secure. The job losses T-Mobile has inflicted will only make this network security issue worse. I write this anonymously for fear of retaliation as I am still employed by T-Mobile, US. I seek the compassion and understanding of the United States Department of Justice and will fully cooperate as an anonymous whistle blower for T-Mobile's negation, gross negligence, and dereliction of duty as it relates to cybersecurity.
