Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

COBRA

Any formers quit/ retire/ laid off and take COBRA? Curious if the premium amount is as bananas high as it reads. I have HDHP/HSA Says CNC contributes $829 to my $109/pay period. This for a huge deductible and MOOP. Guess this is a fantasy that the $829 is monthly, not bi-weekly.

I took COBRA because it was cheaper and had better coverage than ACA and I didn't qualify for Medicaid, which is best. It was just less than $950.00/month.

Yes. You see, we have a huge problem with health INSURANCE companies in this country skyrocketing the prices by charging ridiculous rates that no one can afford. Side Note: Even when you pay the exorbitant rates, you are still not guaranteed that they will cover any healthCARE bills. Health Insurance is NOT healthcare. Health Insurance is a racket that provides nothing.
