Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Is it actually coming?

All this talk of layoffs, delays, down sizing etc, but has anybody actually heard anything concrete about a similar layoff as 2015 / 16 or any pending job cuts? Its all just speculation at the minute??

Yes. Redeployment pool is getting ready. Since many groups need resources to work on critical projects, resources from IoTg, DSG and AXG will be pooled due to exits in those BUs and redeployed. Of course you can VSP out, but it will not called "layoff"

A "soft" trim is quietly in progress for next month. Insights was moved by 1 month to facilitate this move.

Hire and spend as the CEO is fanatically and than layoffs as the Titanic sinks is a certainty.

Admit it it is totally a certainty that layoff are coming. Intel is not good at anything and the x86 monopoly is finished as AMD eats Intel breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert, LOL

Dear OP -- Don't worry and enjoy best WLB (actually paid vacation) from intel. Under Pat leadership there won't be any layoffs. Only hiring allowed. He will be intel CEO at least till 2025. So sleep well and have fun.

It’s all speculation.

Earrings can’t keep going down forever.
Investors want a return on their investment and patience has its limits.

Pat is definitely on the hot seat.
I have no idea why anyone would want his job even for a fazillion dollars.
