I've learned that there are things more important than money - including a normal workload, doing something you enjoy, and a good work environment - so I decided to accept an offer that is 15 percent under my current pay. It's not ideal, but I think it's a good tradeoff. I'm yet to hear somebody who left say they regret it later, and I doubt I'll be the first one.

Congrats!! I am surprised you took a pay cut.
Good luck quitter
Do they at least have soy lattes and a safe space to cry in? Sounds like that’s what you need.
Hey troll- if you honestly think Allstate pays more, well you are a joke and a troll! Go away! I bet the OP had years of tenure and unlikely to get hired into a new company at the same rate. But in a year or two, I bet their salary will be higher. To the OP: Good luck to you!
That’s why we pay more, because we expect more. I wish you luck as you play for the JV team wherever that may be
Congratulations, don’t look back!!
I also resigned after over 30 years with Allstate, decision ever.
I guess if you can’t handle the heat best to stay out the kitchen BOYO See ya in a few months when your back in here to “check in on my friends” and “see if it’s still bad” LOL
Congrats as well. I always say you don't have to love your job, but I couldn't imagine doing something I hate everyday
Congratulations! You gotta do what’s best for you. I wish you much success.
