Please stop calling these people as people leaders. They are not leaders in the first place!

Obviously some of us kept things where shouldn't have....we get it. However, there is no point in telling us that. It's nothing to hurt the company, only potential individuals. Therefore, if there is no way to get anything such as on your contact part of the email or any excel we might have had....well I guess we just have to hope nothing malicious happens to us. Thank you everyone

That's flipping brilliant!!

All of my personal stuff was duplicates. I really tried not to use my work laptop for anything personal. So when the tap on the shoulder came last week, and they locked me out, I was good. I would have liked to to have deleted some financial stuff off of it, again all duplicates, but it was all preCOVID stuff anyway.

Companies that give no notice of a layoff, yet expect a 2 week notice when you quit are immorale and unethical. Ford's "Most Ethical Company" status is a farce.

Here’s how I was able to get my information, it was stored as a PDF, my employee profile etc. not personal but personal. Open Gmail, address email to your personal address, attach then close close, hold it as a draft you can then access it from your personal computer and nothing was transferred off of your work computer

Stop flaming the poster, its an EASY mistake to make and I bet some of you doing the flaming who are still at Ford, have this stuff on your computer.

  1. You make a copy of your performance review and forget to get it off your computer. USB sticks are not allowed without permission so you have to send it by mail to your personal email. If you forgot to delete it (nobody expects to be let go), its there.
  2. Ditto for your bonus payment and salary increase.

You should know better than to put personal info like taxes on a work computer. Even if you delete it, it's on a backup somewhere. NEVER store non-work stuff on a work computer. Period.

@OP. When you are let go, your CDSID stops working and you lose access to your account and your profile in that laptop. Any desktop administrator (if you have done PC renewal, those guys that migrate your profile and docs) can access your information. Your LL6 can also request access to the laptop, but it will probably be limited (no access to your profile) by default, so the LL6 would have to specify local admin.

So, if you are concerned about recovering your info, your LL6 is your best bet. I hope you are in good terms.

If you are concerned about someone else accessing your personal info, that can certainly happen by a desktop administrator/your LL6. If the laptop gets "recycled" (assigned to another user), all the info will be deleted when the OS gets reinstalled. If the laptop gets decom, the hard drive should be scrubbed prior to leaving Ford premises. So, unless someone is actually looking for your info, you should be "relatively" safe.

Well since 2018 SRD there have been cuts. If in late 2022 you still have personal files, tax returns, etc on your laptop it’s totally your fault. USB access is possible for a 1 week period by using a link to IT. It gets approved instantly and your supervisor is cc’d. You should not have done personal work on your laptop. Lesson learned.

The real question is why is there personal information on your laptop?

CDs logins do not work. So there is no accessing the files to be able to delete them.

Delete all your personal information. Empty recycle.

I have the same concern. I even asked my people leader if there was someone I could ask: if someone stands right over me can I access just my information and the answer was crickets ( I should no better than to expect anything more) . Any Suggestions are appreciated. Thx
