Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Sales leaders/ VPs downsizing?

Are they laying off some of the sales leaders and VPs going into 2023/2024?

I’ve been seeing and hearing less from our local Sales Leader lately and I’ve seen and heard of more becoming agents in a few states. They are also getting great books from what I hear with retiring agents.

Wish I could start like they are with nice policies and assignments. The sales leaders were helpful some in the past but with rising auto rates not sure if they are needed today. They are getting good deals though.

I hear some are getting like 1.5 million in fire policies and 1.5 million in Autos. Maybe this is just my part of the country in Illinois and Midwest. I work as a staff member for a larger agency and hear a lot of rumors. Not sure if I want to become in agency owner now. I know more about State Farm systems than the sales leaders. Heck I know more than the agency owner does about his own book.

@4fbf. You are a very angry a jealous person. Try telling it like it is and be free, you will be much happier. Works for me.

@4jxu-right. Your life is so happy that is why as a retiree you spend your time trolling this employee site and tell people to F off along with their family. Why you call people disparaging names and why you gloat over someone that obviously needed help and took their own life. Sure, you are a beacon of happiness. Believe your own lies-just don’t expect others to do the same.

@4srk. Retired estimator not! However, in my career I appreciated the estimator function. As far as retirement life you again failed. The way I live in my retirement life is none of your business. Your opinion again is wrong. So very happy living the rest of my life with my one and only wife. You live in your controlling over others lifestyle knowing that too is a failure because people will always have the ability to exercise freewill. Good day sir!

My life is my life not yours. I believe we are free to say what I want and I control myself. You don't control me and you never will. I'm sure that bothers anarchists.

Your life is so empty and negative you look for every example to disparage others in a futile hope to make yourself feel better. It is not working.

VPs and SLs as well as AFSs work harder than ever. What nonsense you people dream up.

If you want to see reality, watch the movie THE DECLINE OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION. It was filmed in the late 70's early 80s. It gives a clear picture of your consultants and VPs at SF. Is that really what you want or consider your leadership? Anarchy? Really.....the type of people who make policy decisions matter.

VPs are John Gotti in disguise. Organized crime IMO.

3 million book of business is not what it used to be, that’s barely going to pay for your primary home and your Beachhouse. You’d have to go to the lighter on staffing just to make that work. It is doable but it would be tight.

Chico State VP... LAUGHABLE! @1kbw. Oh contrary to you. I would rather live a modest life than be anyone who has sold their soul to a very evil dark place and on the backs of those who make the machine run. Being without humility shows you have lost your grace.

I luv reading posts from those that recognize their lack of education has destined them to a life of modest wages. Their only recourse instead of “ owning it “ is to try and disparage those that achieve more.

@1cvd. So they can exist at the expense of those who provide the service day in and day out. They believe they are better and more educated than you. Not really!

Here is a fun exercise. In outlook , search for people with a title of vp or Vice President. Count them up. The number will astonish you and make you question why we need that much beauracracy.

VPs are worthless. Most can't shoot straight. Most play when they should be working. 99% don't put in a full day's work. They spend time on their cell phone while on a golf course. All while collecting a huge paycheck. How do I know? I've seen it. Most agents are same.

We could reduce our outlook capacity if that were the case as our email volume would drop by 80%.

VPs and sales leaders aren't worth anything. They are strictly politicians that CREATE ZERO value.
