The difference between GSCO and WFC is that the employees at GSCO are paid very well.
GSCO expects a lot out of their employees, wants only top performers, and pays them handsomely for their efforts. Median pay at GSCO IS $120K per year.
Median pay at WFC is $65,000 per year, with many of our frontline brick and mortar employees making only $37,500.
Note to Charlie: You can’t disrespect your employees for 3 years, treat us like we are liabilities rather than assets - and then expect us to rise to the occasion for you. As much as you tell yourself that the C-Suite and BOD are all that matters - none of you have a clue as to how to perform the daily business that keeps this bank up and running. If the entire Senior Leadership disappears tomorrow, this bank can easily perform without you. If the employees walk off the job tomorrow - I want to watch Charlie deposit a check, work the drive-up, answer a client call, process a trade, fix a major system issue, pay a bill… now that would be fun!!!
