Here at WF I've had numerous interviews for internal positions. I've never been successful at getting any internal position via interviewing for it.
However. I have been able to move around internally. These are case where the hiring manager knows me from having worked with me in the past, and has come to me with the tip that they've got a job opening.
Key is getting around HR. HR is great at hiring other HR people, but not so great at hiring people with niche skillsets.
My last job interview was with WF decades ago.Don’t plan on any more job interviews in the near future. I recall a colleague quitting and trying to get back into WF. Her first interview with WF was done by a computer. Some kind of psychological profiling before she’s interviewed by a live person.
