The manager is more than difficult to deal with, opportunities for advancement are very rare... Some say that at least they have a good work-life balance here, but I had a great colleague who literally worked 7 days a week and in the end he was dumped. Besides all that, whom would a modest raise keep from leaving this place? At this point, not even a good raise would keep many of us here.

Anyone get a pay cut recently? We were paying our bills and realized our checking account was lower than expected. Turns out pay cut at DXC. And no warning. No mention from leadership. Seriously?
DXC does not give pay rises.
They hint at raises. They promise raises. But they don’t do what they say, even though Shouty says they should.
Instead of a raise, you get WFR.
So take control of your life & career by leaving on your terms, not theirs.
According to the U.S. Inflation Calculator;

In the U.S., you'd have to get an18.9% raise just to be EVEN with where your pay was 7 years ago! Good luck with that.
Wait, you got a raise? (Quotes Kenobi) "Now that's something I haven't heard in a long time..."
You won't see an increase in pay , so just forget it!
