Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Biggest leadership mistakes?

We could probably compile a long list of their mistakes and decisions that were very bad.

Actually, we should fire some English professors. We are running a technology company and these English professors survive on accent and their imperialist attitudes. Things have changed bro and English is just a medium of communication and for more that 3 billion people in the world it is a second language.

I think the clue is in the word "leadership", how can the cadre of kleptocrats running DXC lead an IT company when they don't have any IT experience (by that I mean experience building/implementing technology solutions to solve real world customer problems). They tell you what you should do, but can't tell you HOW you should do it. Without that understanding they put their trust in people who just say yes enthusiastically and themselves have no idea either. You can't lead what you don't understand.

"Should we bin off people that don't know the difference between loser and looser too ?"

Yes, and while you're at it get rid of those who don't know the difference between "lead" and "led", and "you're" and "your".

Biggest mistake of the senior management is

  1. Look at the all the loosers who don't contribute and get them out of the co.
  1. Remove people with Zero technical knowledge - who just attend meetings.
  1. Remove all middle management layers and empower the guys who do the work
  1. Reduce management layers in internal corporate functions.

1 - Turning down the ATOS buyout but I reckon theyd have made a load of people redundant after WFR and then sh-t themselves once they realised what a poisonous business theyd taken on

2 - Agreeing to the 30-30 contract with BAE = "30% more work for 30% less money"

It's now just a money sink for the business. The account leadership basically disappear after a few months and the staff get hammered with the client being anywhere from lukewarm to abusive. I've seen tons of cases of people going off sick because of the stress it puts them through and some poor bloke died a while ago under sketchy circumstances

Supposedly BAE were looking elsewhere (ATOS, Capgemini, who knows) but DXC definitely dont make any real money off them now, it's all about brand recognition and short term gains. The only people who cared about fixing it are slowly walking off

easily biggest mistake by mikey2 - not selling for $10B when ATOS came knocking
Current value = $5.77B
Will never regain the $10B mark despite Mikey2 saying at the time he thought DXC was worth far more (it wasn't)

No chance its a leadership issue. We have BSDs all over the place in leadership. One of the best teams in the world if I heard right a few times. Thus, it has to be delivery, sales and the coal face failing.
