Just waiting for the severance

I've been working here on autopilot for some time now, just waiting for severance pay. I believe that most people are sick of TR and are actually just waiting for the package? In the meantime, I'm looking for a new job and if I manage to get a good offer, of course I won't hesitate to leave. That would be the best case scenario.

I am well past retirement age and although I’m still doing my job, I try not to do any more than is necessary to get the job done. I think it’s going to be a test of wills as to who gives in first, meaning I retire, or they RIF me with a great severance package.

Sadly, TR is textbook quiet firing.

@3ayi+1ioFtE2M, more like, do the job you are paid to do, not the five other jobs they've dumped on you. Strive to stay out of the line of fire to avoid stress as much as possible while you're looking for your next opportunity.

Give the best that you can each day, strive for accuracy and timeliness. and all the while be on the lookout for a better opportunity.

Waiting for severance is not a way to live. Try to change the system. Even if you go down, at least you’ll have gone down swinging

Take the new job and keep this one. If it’s on autopilot you have nothing to lose and only $$$ to gain 2x your income while you can.
