1600 in round 1, then they’re hoping some resign on the back of this, then there will a round 2
In the US you get the following severance if you are lucky:
Level 4-20 - 6 weeks TOTAL, not per year of service.
Level 30 - 6 weeks with < 5 years service else 8 weeks
Level 40 - 8 with < 5 else 10 weeks
Level 45 - 11 with < 5 else 12
Would love to hear if anyone in the US is getting different (besides JC)
Severance starts they day you get the email and is not paid out until the end of the month after you sign a release form.
And wait until you see the COBRA costs…
I hope I'm one of the lucky ones this is a sh.t pile Company, I'm holding out for 6 weeks pay per year of service I have 6 years done I'm a tought negotiator, HR won't lowball me
AMEN!
The psuedo people must go. Just silly south park episode noise.
- BLESS YOU ALL!
- Its likely closer to 2500-3000 in total by Nov/Dec...will start in incremental cuts. Keep in mind. They dont want to pillage Avaya. They want to keep those who are aligned with the areas where they have hope to sustain and grow. This cant be decided over night
- Yet, please be done with the silly, narcissistic marketing people who keep trying to plug the ambiguous ONE CLOUD. Especially that one who essentially runs an ALL FANS page while tagging AVAYA (seriously, can't make this stuff up). Dont cut the developer who has worked their ar-e off as a REAL TECHNOLOGY person simply because they leadership had zero vision.
Slainte to ALL. Many good tidings on your road. We are ALL HERE FOR YOU!
1600 would be an average salary of $156,250 to get to 250 mil in cuts. Seem pretty low estimate -- more like 2500-3000 let go
