Snowflake Officially Passes TDC in Revenue - #TDCGotSnowBalled

It happened. 83% revenue growth compared to TDC barely treading water. Snowflake will hit over $2B annual recurring revenue going forward. Overtook TDC in In the exact same market that Teradata once had a leadership position in. Anyone in TDC leadership and the entire Board should be ashamed and giving back their bonuses. Why would they get any bonus? Teradata will make a good case study in business schools, like Kodak, Barnes and Noble, and K-Mart. When you have to say you are #CloudFirst it means you still don't get it. RIF THE ELT

Same here. All focus on the 3 CSPs and Databricks. People act like I just came from Netezza when I tell them I'm from TDC

Funny I am at Snowflake now and we don't even talk about Teradata. They could care less about my Teradata knowledge. All Snowflake customers had already made the decision to move off legacy Teradata or Oracle and just wanted to discuss the migration plan to free themselves.

It’s hard to spin revenue and if executives lie they face punishment. When revenue is flat or declining in a high growth market like analytics - there are major issues. SM just tells everyone the strategy is working. Does he think we are all id--ts? Time to get real and make changes. Vantage Cloud Lake is just a smoke screen.

The heart and soul of Teradata was their Customer Services team that built and maintained a relationship with the customer. Add Professional Services to address any issues. Well now they are gone and so is Teradata. Another blip on a Wikipedia page.

ELT is buying time before they can cash whatever is in the truck. Hence coming up with such #possible events yo show that all is well. Hiring back old timers who got rejected elsewhere and giving them plum positions (and $$$) is not a good strategy.

I wish there was a town hall for us to explain SF results vs. our results.

A better question is how many Snowflake customers were Teradata customers?

Snowflake has 6808 customers. Ask SM how many customers TDC has and watch him stutter and pause and then say “our strategy is working” without giving any specific number. If an analytics company does not know how many customers they have, that’s a different issue…

Does anyone have the ba--s to send all of these comments to the ELT?

TDC = The Dead Company. They may barely survive a few more quarters, but it's like The Walking Dead. All the employees are just seeing how much longer their direct deposits go in. The smartest ones left a long time ago. Just look at their part-time, over compensated CTO. What innovation has he championed in the last decade? He denied cloud for a long time - that alone should have been a firing offense. SM is desperate and teased some new innovation coming but we all know the RG project is a failed attempt at a "me too" Snowflake solution. But SM will laugh all the way to the bank, like a vulture eating road ki-l and NC and HA will lie about all their success while at Teradata. At least KCC got a bunch of people to put their pronouns on their email header. Give her a bonus!
