I'm feeling nervous after getting a pop-up late Friday afternoon that I need to restart Outlook "due to policy changes made by the administrator". My dept was told that we're done with these cuts, but that doesn't make me any less anxious after seeing repeatedly the lack of forthright honesty from management & HR
They aren't playing around when it comes to this tracking software. You will not be told if it was added to your laptop so if you still have personal files on the computer,
unfortunately it may be to late to retrieve it without the OGC noticing. The softwares purpose is to record every email, attachment, every keystroke made by employee to ensure corp trade secrets are not stolen. On my last day as an SRD, my boss said the OGC had an inch high stack of printed out evidence showing I had allegedly sent out numerous emails taking corp trade secrets. As such all future medical, severance, and pension was forfeited. I was to immediately turn over all docs I had taken and Legal would review my case to see if prosecution would be pursued. I was angered by the allegation as I hadn't stolen anything. Since I didn't care anymore I showed the boss the vacation pictures, kudos from old supvs, funny quips from coworkers, along with my old PRs, letters of recommendation, my
pension and separation paperwork. There wasn't a corp trade secret in the pile! They were thoroughly embarrassed to realize their tracking algorithm mistaken read the old PRs, letters of rec ommendation, pension, and termination paperwork as "trade secrets docs". Yes, I kept my pension, severance, and medical. Please be careful, that software is indeed watching.
Do we know if they installed monitoring software ? Or is this just assumed for large corporations these days.

Mine locked up like a brick. I had to take pictures of some personal files. I was so stupid as I know this was going to happen. Lucky I feel that 9 months of severance makes me feel much better. Today I inquired about unused vacation and I told my super I had been using up my comp time, personal business, sick time and vacation time in that order. Im1ne showed no vacation taken. Sweet payout bonus They could have saved money with a voluntary package.
That's interesting... I did have a software update on the Thursday or Friday prior to judgement day...
On Monday I noticed that I could not send any emails with attachments to outside-Ford address. For the record, I tried to send my current resume and some cover letters that i had written for internal Ford postings over the years. All of those emails were blocked for 'confidentiality' reasons.
I even tried to log off VPN and go to my personal email address and attach the files that way and the machine still blocked them with the same 'confidentiality' message.
I think you're right...
What software? We haven’t heard anything.
