Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Doomed to fail

I believe that some are still here only because of certain benefits, but in general, the atmosphere is very bad. The productivity of the employees is excellent, given that most people here are just waiting for their name to show up on the list and be replaced by cheaper labor. The management is terrible. Does anyone still believe that things here could improve?

Platform-x sales is really encouraging and will definitely trending to save FY23 and would be a blockbuster offering for the future. We definitely have light at the end of the tunnel.

There was a chance to improve at the point when Mr Shouty took over.

He could have stopped cutting, resourced account teams effectively, increased margins to a level that would support proper staffing and proper delivery.

But this is hard work and doesn’t lead to improved in-quarter results. It frequently leads to poor financial results in the first 18 - 24 months, before leading to big profits after that. Mr Shouty is rewarded on current quarter results, not long term results. That’s why DXC has passed the point of no return and will eventually fail completely.

The managers gets paid on the number of people from his team attends the meetings. Zero technical knowledge and lots of arm chair pundits. How would we ever compete with the power houses like EY, infy etc.

No things will never improve , he-l we still haven't merged all the internal systems to DXC, most use Legacy ES or CSC Terminology. Sets a legacy folks from either side don't understand what comes from the other side. As I understand if there's two payroll systems there's two financial systems.

The company doesn't know if it wants to be a services company or an infrastructure company they need to decide which they wanna be and sell off the other side

There's too many people in meetings and no one making decisions. It's a cluster
