Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Question

How will I know when I’m going to be fired? My Pqstat is high and I’m constantly being grilled to work better, yet I get a really good review at the end of the year? I am so confused.:( my self esteem is shot. I feel worthless.:( the more I get ridiculed the more worthless I feel I need to quit and have applied at numerous places but have not gotten one call back.. I can’t afford to quit, My husband and I both had to work, does SF ever compliment on what I’m doing well? IF I’m doing well? I don’t even know anymore?, Will I get some kind of warning before I am let go? Thanks all for my vent sesh…

OP, you are worrying too much it's extremely hard to get fired at State Farm they don't want to pay you unemployment - you would have to do something outrageously inappropriate and even then you could probably just go on a mental health leave.

What SF calls cause to be dismissed & what Unemployment calls ‘wrongful behavior’ are two different things. Keep looking for other companies & don’t real any policies.

In the same boat-ish. No problems with anyone, except my TM - no matter what I do, it's never enough.

If you need the job, then just ignore it, IMO. Chances are a new TM will be assigned before rating anyway, which is how a lot of problem workers hang on year after year.

They fire people for things like cheating the time cards, violating compliance issues, ect. If they are going to fire you, you would have already had the write up, and there would be a shield on you. If they put a shield on you, start applying, its just a fancy way to say "were gonna fire you once we find good cause so we can deny unemployment", which they will do.

You have to do something absolutely wild to get canned on the spot.

If its just one metric, and a debbie downer manager, just power through it until they quit or a new TM is assigned.

Better yet try to get into a better department if possible. Unsure what claims role uses whatever a PQStat is, thats a new one for me, however they pretty much have metrics for metrics at this point so who knows.

You are probably being prepared to be rug pulled. Make you displeased with your job so when they rug pull you it hurts less. Just scummy middle line management practices.
