I don't know what to think about hiring standards. Maybe it will sound arrogant, but my opinion is that most of the new hires wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to work here if they had applied several years ago. Can the criteria be any lower? It wouldn't worry me at all if I didn't have to constantly correct other people's mistakes due to such lowered standards.

SF wants to be the cheapest insurance, not the best. Proof is in their actions, you all need to ignore the words and focus on actions. Actions at SF speak a very different story.
Youre not going to be the cheapest insurance hiring qualified, empathetic, handlers. You get cheap by keeping claims a revolving door of cheap low skilled workers that you wont need to invest in (as shown by the training they do)
the turnover has been going on in the hubs since they started. facts. covid and such just exposed how inefficient the company is.

Policies have consequences. Executive decisions nowadays strike fatal blows. We are no longer a constitutional republic. SF is part of the narrative. Failure is eminent if we remain on this path. They will soon run out of OPM.
Same story everywhere. Businesses shutting down everywhere. Putting up signs with limited new hours of operation, or closing unexpectedly in the middle of the day.
Why would State Farm be immune ? Do you really think there are tens of thousands of better applicants beating on the door?
The company got rid of the pension and pay is the middle of the pack with our competition. OP, what do you think SF offers that will bring in top talent? Turn over is over 50% in lots of parts of the company and we have to use externals to just function.
