it's a train wreck in the making. If the market is flooded with EV's how is everyone going to charge their vehicles? The Grid cannot handle it.
How is anyone going to go on roadtrip? Even if they can get the range on the battery decent, you'll have to wait hours to charge your vehicle.
Cost for EV's are going to go through the roof, so who will be able to afford them?
Don't forget about our environmentalist wackos out there...they will start complaining and protesting that we are depleting the earth of natural minerals to make the batteries.
Which by the way, most of the minerals come from overseas from countries that hate the US.
Also what about the batteries...what is useful life, then cost to replace? All I know is my rechargeable devices start to lose life after a year or two of charging (and that is not even with a rapid charge which shortens the life even more).
When the batteries are done what are we going to do with them? Bury them like the wind turbines...another protest by enviromentalists.
Seems like this whole "clean" energy is not a well thought out plan.
