Thread regarding Ford layoffs

If you were laid off were you vaccinated or unvaccinated? (religious exemption)

Wondering if the makeup of layoffs is at all correlated to this. It would seem that the most compliant employees took the vaccine so they may have had that as a factor.

@joa: 4 doses and didn't grow any limbs - of course not, whatever happens will happen suddenly, you won't be able to let anyone "know".

Come to Florida!! No one pays attention to Covid with such fearful awareness.

Retired last year, automotive OEM in MI, now seasonal work gigs. I can't remember the last time I wore a mask. This state has simply moved on, and all for the better.

This state is back to the common cold...

As curious as I am about this as well, I doubt you'll get any useful info here and I'm pretty sure this is just SRD 2.0 and the target is the older more expensive workers, and especially the pension eligible, with a lot of younger folks thrown under the bug too in order to keep the age discrimination from being too obvious.

What is your definition of vaccinated? 1 dose? 2 doses? 1 booster? 2 boosters? The CDC can't even agree on what that means. Doubt it had anything to do with the "list".

Doubt that vax status had anything to do with it. I was let go in the action taken late April this year; if had a religious accommodation. A former boss of my, a LL6 was also let go from same group send day, was fully vaxed. What we had in common was were both retirement eligible and over 20 years service…

@hzy+1ilfeEcK I'm not "triggered" by your question. I'm only saying that it's a stupid question to ask when you don't even know what the vaccinated/not vaccinated make up of this board is. So whatever response you may get from here, you have no idea what conclusion you can draw from it. But hey, keep on keepin on I guess. I've had four vaccine doses, no new limbs growing yet, but I'll let you know.

I see someone is trying to get their daily dose of confirmation bias. I doubt you will see any correlation. You won't be able to make a lawsuit with information on this website if that is your motivation for asking is to claim discrimination.

Golden rule about correlation: "Correlation does not imply causation."

@kbs+1ilfeEcK

What makes you think I have no empathy? On the one hand if unvaccinated are all getting fired there could be a lawsuit to help them, like in all the medical lawsuits coming out (some rewarded). People losing their jobs should get more empathy than those who have not, no? Where am I wrong?

@kzw+1ilfeEcK Yes. I'm serious. Why are you so triggered by a question? I'm just curious about the data. There is nothing wrong with that. Willing ignorance and lack of curiosity is bad though.

Are you serious? And if you are, you are only sampling from people that monitor this board, which clearly tends to attract certain types of people, so there's that.
