Got a call from my agency this morning notifying the contract with Ford was terminated. 8 years of working for the company and winning awards... Only to have come to this day. 7 ppl from my other team have also been let go. Let's hope we all come out strong

Are agency folks let go the same day of being notified or have a window of few days? I have seen a couple cases where they were notified of the lay off decision but their last day was 2 weeks out.
They have asked to return the equipment to my agency.
If your LL5/LL6 asks you to turn equipment in to them, get a documentation trail. A friend kept getting harassing emails about not turning in his laptop. The LL5 stole the laptop for his son, a high school student. It turns out he stole two laptops in that manner. The jerk MH is still @ Ford.
When I was laid off from agency a few years ago, I told them to send shipping boxes and prepaid labels. No way was I driving to the other side of town. F them.
Do they want you to drop off all your equipment at the agency office or what?
