In a conversation with some colleagues, some think that there will be no significant cuts, and some assume that there will be big layoffs in November. Does anyone have more insights?
In any case, it is unfortunate that the leadership allows talented people to just waste their time, leaving it to other companies to attract them and exploit their full potential. Lack of vision is destroying Pearson.
Pearson School laid off 19 this week, mostly Manager and above in Iowa and Texas. Many more to come across the other business units.
They plan to have all notifications completed by the end of October.

From what I'm hearing - from a trusted source - there will be layoffs in Sept,
and in Oct,
and in Nov,
and in Dec, and into 2023, and possibly beyond that!

After laying off a ton of marketing roles and merging those departments in a way, I can't foresee anymore major cuts unless there's another significant restructure. But they could I guess? Change the communication model so that less people will do more? They were changing metrics anyway. Who knows.
Why November? I keep hearing a September 30 date.
