I certainly can leave. That would be easy. However, I’m just enjoying watching the train wreck while collecting a check.
No need to push myself to work harder to meet some crazy deadline. No incentive at all. Also, besides getting laid off, it’s stupid hard to get fired here. I mean you really have to do something to cross that line.
So, I’m just collecting a check and working as little as I can without impacting customers or coworkers.
Two old sayings spring to mind here: you reap what you sow; and you make your bed and you get to lie in it.
And never look back. Anything is better than this.
