As technology changes with automation I am 100% sure one day all of our current positions will be eliminated. However, we can always switch roles as new positions are created or leave the company. It makes no sense to worry every year whether we will be laid off. The only worrisome year was 2020 because covid was unprecedented and job market was bad. My position or your position may be eliminated next year or it could be 5 years from now.

Most of the people who fear are one trick ponies who spent their entire career here and aren't marketable or smart enough to change
