Anyone been offered a voluntary package recently?

If so, what organization and location?

Finance received packages in 2021. Many, many people left the business. I think they knew that would be the last time an offer would be on the table. I never saw so many happy faces tripping over each other to get out the door!!! Hang in there folks, hope it all works out for you!

I would leave this place in a new york minute if T was to ever offer a severance package! They wouldn't have to ask me twice! I'd be out the door before the ink was even dry on my agreement document. I'm very certain that is the sentiment within the ranks of numerous business units. If only T would put out the feelers, they would learn that its employees aren't as happy, inspired, driven or loyal as they might be delusional enough
to think.

I wonder if technicians will be in for a rude awakening with unforeseen layoffs in areas of the country that you would have never guessed would be hit? Management keeps telling us we're continuing to get busier and will need to hire more technicians once the hiring freeze is over, but what if none of that matters? What if ATT has the ultimate goal of reducing head count in order to reduce payroll so that overall operating and employee expenses can be reduced? You never know what they're thinking or planning!

Out of region techs were offered a severance package in 2017 and only one tech took the offer in AZ.

You want out and collect severance pay and qualified for unemployment do what I did and you would be gone in 1 week. Contact your director and complain about your manager violating EEOC laws.

"...you can collect unemployment ..."

You shouldn't need unemployment in this job market if your skills are even close to current.

I was offered a package I couldn't refuse (literally).
It went something like this.
Here's 6 months sev, you can collect unemployment, we'll even have the CEO send you "Congrats on your Retirement". Now hit the road you old Focker.

May 2021 Financial Operations offered a voluntary package. That's the last one I remember although it would make sense to see an offer in Arnoldi's organization this October

Original poster put the same question on the Verizon page a week ago. Doesn’t work for either company.

I bounced late last year of my own free will. Took the Lump Sum, my 401K and ran for the door. The freedom felt great...and still is. Good luck folks.

In general terms, there hasn’t been a voluntary incentive in years.

“ Wrong. I have a friend in district 4 who got a VSIP package last year. $73K before taxes and qualified for unemployment.
And "team" is cute. What color are your uniforms?”
Maybe Union folks get packages, for everyone else, severance is all you get. My statement of no packages is accurate for everyone else. Most of ATT employees are not union.

"There hasn’t been a package in decades. Best just take whatever you can get and save someone else’s job if you’re retirement eligible. I’ve seen folks fall on the sword for others on their team. Folks that went ahead and retired instead of hanging on for a package (that ain’t coming). It was very honorable of them really. When my time comes, I’ll do the same. At the end of the day, we have each other to depend on (if you’re in a good team)."

To Janet Jackson, please leave and give someone else with good work ethics and a growing family your spot. Please make room for someone else it’s time for you go. Thank you.

Jokes on them, they're paying me a fat hourly plus commission to keep me, and I left mentally years ago.

Once you realize all AT&T sees you as is your ATTUID and what percentage you're at monthly and then at the end of month it's "what have you done for me lately?" It becomes much more obvious what everyone's love should be because the corporate mentality will never change here:

Figure out the bare minimum effort you truly have to put in to not get written up or fired (trust me the bar is MUCH lower than managers try to scare tactic you in to thinking) and then just ride it out with the knowledge that you win every time that paycheck hits the bank

Nope. You are free to exit at any time, but no one will be paying for you to leave.
