Remember when you had a job for life unless you messed up really bad? When we were encouraged to spend our career at AIG? What happened to those days? Now new hires plan to spend a year or two here and use it as a stepping stone for something better. Meanwhile, those of us who've been here for a while are petrified of being laid off before retirement. These are sad days for a once great company.
