From your perspective how pervasive is quiet quitting at T?

I have been quiet quitting since before it was cool. If done correctly its not a negative. You so your job and at the end of the day you live your life. I don't get involved in any of the ridiculous rah rah ATT stuff. Quiet quitting eventually can turn into retirement in place which can be bad because that person tends to do even less and is hoping to get a severance.
Extremely. I know many people who were quiet quitting for years before it was a thing. Most had met retirement and were just raking it in until they got picked off. Do the minimum and see if anyone notices which they didn't, or their Managers hands were tied and couldn't fire the employee.
One time we had an employee (off shore) who was very substandard. Tried to get him disciplined, reassigned, or fired. No dice. After a couple of years he did get terminated because he hadn't logged into work via VPN for over a month. Later, he tried to sue ATT. I'm glad I left earlier this year, so much better off.
Pretty pervasive, but what do you expect when they keep replacing good local workers with WIPRO? What incentive do workers have to go "above and beyond"? I am a Gen Xer and to be honest, I understand where Millennials and Gen Z are coming from. I have seen great people and not so great people laid off in corporate downsizing. People who went over and above were given a package just as readily as the "Quiet Quitter". Why do more than necessary? I've rarely seen anyone fired at T.
There is no incentive to work hard. Layoffs and rebadging contain Service Excellence winners. Management is hostile toward employees. Quiet quitting is the way to keep your sanity.
Quiet quitting- yet another ridiculous display of the lack of motivation and work ethic from Generation Y & Z.
I hate to say it, but as a population, they are the laziest generation ever!
Just as pervasive as upper deck sh**ting apparently.
It’s the reason WFH will be ruined for us all, sadly. Spread the PB smooth.
Bot!
never heard of quiet quitting. this is news to me.
I do what’s asked of me (within reason) and won’t let my teammates down who may be depending on me. But no, I’m not going above and beyond. There’s no point. Bonus is the same whether I meet or exceed.
I quit 5 years ago but am still go through the motions at T.
Service Rep here in central TX, Alamo city, I do just enough to keep me in the Green...I stopped helping others on my own, I stopped submitting PMEI suggestions, I stopped volunteering, I stopped everything, when I realized the Management team in Retention does not care about anything but "widgets."
Sounds like an AT&T manager working there 14th straight hour answer above
Most of my department Is quiet quitting. They do almost no work. Quiet Quitting is where you do the absolute minimum just to get bye. It’s like it’s a secret “I quit” but since bosses don’t care they will still pay your salary as long as you don’t tell them you are quitting your effort to reach their goals.
Quiet quitting is the term for stopping work at close of business, and resuming during your next shift. AT&T has always had a healthy culture of work life balance so there is no issue of quiet quitting.
