Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

No high hopes

If they don't give us raises, I think there will be a mass exodus. I'm not expecting that the leadership will finally decide to be a little generous towards us so I am already looking for other offers. Does anyone have any hope that we will get raises?

If you think there will be an exodus, consider that most people talking about this year-over-year career insult will laugh and joke about it, revealing their emotional resignation to a job and life of boredom, apathy, and wasted personal potential.

If you put a low price on yourself, rest assured that the world will not raise it.
Change is inevitable; growth is optional.

Most people won't leave this sh|thole because they have some combination of: no motivation, no self-esteem, no marketable skills, no commitment to learning, no interviewing skill, no current resume, no confidence, no contacts, no vision.

We don't always get what we want, but we do always get what we choose.

THE CEO , Chairman of the Board and other Board members and Vice Presidents all need to forgo there stock options, there bouns and yes take a cut in pay so they can divide what is left over with what budgeted (think $0.00) for pay increases and give to the workers that meet or exceed goals

@1onl+1ifmAXCR - is that Mr Shouty Pants or one of his tea boy managers getting defensive at people rightly calling out the bad management and lack of direction of all of the inept management and upper board and CEO of this ^%^%^ company

Time for Mike Shoutypants and Steakcutter 2 to be sacked and for new CEO and board to take over before it is too late.

Hmm. That's a tough one.

A pay rise during a WFR programme, when there is no cashflow, no investor confidence, existing debt, missed forecasts, high attrition, global economic headwinds, customer contracts not coming to fruition.

I think "The chances of anything coming from Mars..." is much more likely.

There is only one way for DXC staff to increase their salaries: leave DXC. It really is that simple. There won't be a rise for DXC employees this year, it would put Mr Shouty's bonuses and incentives at risk.

DXC doesn't care about you, Mr Shouty doesn't care about you. He only cares about his quarterly profits and how much he makes out of you.

He's promised to cut $500M by the end of the year. The only way he can achieve this is through lay-offs. He can't afford to give you a pay rise if he wants to be sure of his income.

Mass Exodus - there really should be. But some folks don't seem to want to take what they perceive as a risk in going to a new employer, so they're stuck with being treated badly by DXC. But if they took that 'risk' and went to a new employer they might realise just how bad DXC is.

Mr Shouty has 6 months left to find another 500M USD in cost cutting. Zero probability for pay rise.

Firstly, there will be no mass exodus. You guys are not high end techies who work for amazon, google or space x type. So don't over estimate yourself. Secondly there will be no customer impacts, cause you guys have already ruined it by your lack of work ethics.

Thirdly - if you go out for an interview, you will realize what is out there and you will take a paycut to stay here.

We need to get the freeloaders out and compensate the rest. Work in progress.

If a pay rise isn't forthcoming soon there will be a mass exodus.

They won't be able to maintain a service as all the best talent will be off.

Contracts will become problems, new staff will need to be recruited at a much higher costly rate, and they won't be able to stabilize anything for a period.

Customers will leave quickly, reputations will be destroyed, and new contracts will be very distant.

Mike/Mary need to think this through before screwing the staff.

Yes you'll get a pay rise BUT:

  1. they will get rid of people first, no point giving pay rises to boost entitlements of people leaving.
  2. they need to fix the cash flow issues. Higher pay means more cash out the door.
  3. DON'T expect much. The budget that has been allocated is pathetic and you WILL be disappointed (unless you are Mr Shouty and his Kleptocrats the rules don't apply to them), definitely won't make a dent on inflation.

The company is failing stop waiting for a pay raise and look after yourself.
