And just to be clear this is not a thread in which I claim we should do only the bare minimum. However, doing more than it is required from you at first is definitely not the right way to go. If you perform better that the rest of your team just gets you to a place where more and more work is assigned to you in an aggressive manner and you end up being required to fix the mess of some of your coworkers.
While more and more work is assigned to you the “politically correct” ones get promoted and rewarded. As sad as it is, doing more work will only lead you to burnout and to a big portion of stress and anxiety.

It's true. My coworker went on maternity leave and I took ownership of most of her work while she was out. I did fall a little behind from managing both her desk and mine so my numbers weren't as good as usual. When she came back from maternity leave, guess which one of us got promoted?
Not the one that took on all the work. She did - she came back to a clean slate.
I will no longer be doing anything for anyone but myself unless they force me to.
“Overachievers” don’t whine on websites.
Wanting the best person for the job shows you have no respect for our degenerate struggle.
This is the same exact list worded differently that was posted last week.
Thanks for the redundancy. It matches our processes
Allstate has gone woke and it will go broke. Before anyone slams me as a bigot I just want the best person to do the job. I don't care if your a Democrat or a Republican or LGBTQ. If you can do the job and leave the culture wars and politics at home then I have no problem. But when politics or culture issues are shoved down my throat or being forced to accept a lifestyle I don't agree with is wrong. We are here to work for the claimant and insured along with the stock holders and that's it.
