Remember when they used to do something as simple as send flowers when you had surgery or had a baby or death in your family. They have seriously gone that far from caring about their associates. Oh the better times

When I had my baby last October all my manager did was ask me what day I’m coming back because my loa was up. And a market manager tell me I was selfish for having a baby during the holidays.
Sadly alot of this was the PTC responsibility.
Our club used to pre-sign cards so there was something always at the ready. I had an associate notice on their get well card there were some missing signatures. And even worse there were signatures from managers no longer with the club.
We no longer do cards or the monthly birthday cake because no one wants the added responsibility.
Our club still sends fliwers
Do the managers still even bother to sign birthday cards? lol
Back then the appearance of caring was important to the company. They believed that people who felt cared for would not only produce more but would tolerated more cloaked abuse. If you long timers remember, yes there was a lot more good stuff here but the nasty was always there too. We just accepted the nasty because we felt well at least they care for us. Now there is little to no pretense of caring.
