Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Down for the count

I feel like this company will end up shuttering and being sold off parts. The CEO clearly doesn’t know what he’s doing. He keeps lying to investors about overhead and too many employees as the main reasons for the company’s failures. But it’s a matter of providing product driven and customer based initiatives.

DXC is failing because it doesn’t have direction, is unorganized, and is being led by someone who who cannot establish a rapport with employees and/or customers.

How he got added to the board, I don’t know….he must sound differently talking to them that he does on leadership calls.

Also who sponsors teams when losing money like a sieve.

It's rather astonishing how much Sal has the Board and the Street snowed. Such a disconnect between the message on the investor calls and the internal message. Such a living, breathing example of the Peter Principle.

It's sad, watching the slow drawn-out death of what was once a great company.

The latest round of cuts prove that the decline is continuing and seems to be accelerating. I would say Mike will complete his removal of $500M this financial, and the knock-on impact of that will be more clients going elsewhere, leading to another round of cuts before April 2023.

This cycle will continue until either:

  • DXC collapses completely
  • a new CEO takes over, stops cutting, and focuses on clients to stop the exodus

I suspect that it will be complete collapse, as Mr Shouty is not showing any sign of going anywhere.

I agree how can a CEO be promoted to chairman of the board when he can't turn around a company. We have been going through transformation bullsh-t for years. We even had the gall to try to sell digital transformation to our customers and we can't even do it ourselves

Mike Salvino actions must be make public so he doesn’t lead any other company in the future. He and his gang are making millions at the expense of thousands of DXC employees. Salvino is an incompetent leader and all the co-k suckers that follow him blindly are also responsible. All DXC leadership team should be make accountable for their lies and lack of respect for the employees and customers.
