I am not investing anything to better ATT.
I am going to collect checks and benefits for as long as possible and do as little as possible.
When I finally leave I am switching my wireless service, all 5 lines, over to Metro, Cricket, or Tmus.
No matter how much effort I would put into my contributions to the companies benefit it just gets swept away by boneheaded decisions at the highest levels and the VP over my organization.
It is a culture of malaise and self interest in navigating and climbing the ladders of that malaise.
Why are executives compensation not overwhelmingly tied into the stock price?
If you are in the lower levels of this company and own a single share of ATT you are a donkey.
Have a great day folks. Be a culture or hyena like me and feed off this dying carcass for as long as possible and do as little as possible. Heading to the beach in a couple of hours, have a few drinks, and maybe I will check emails before firing up the grill.

Saving 90$ ea. mo now off ATT service with Spectrum mobile and internet. customer service amazing and self install was a delight! No good news for A$T
You will be surprised at how long you can cut it. Just make sure to badge in once in a while and stay on top of compliance training. Merit has nothing to do with who gets the next lay off but the other things do.

Cricket is an AT&T subsidiary. Others use AT&T network, but are not owned AT&T. check before you switch.
Only years of abuse can create feelings and motivation like you expressed. Years of dedicated extra effort and work ethic being dumped on. You can move your company match 401k stock to a company that is safer before you leave. Only initial match goes into company stock. Check with HR or online.
Sounds like you'll fit right in! Probably get promoted!
