Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Still care about your job?

The managers here are very talented at destroying any enthusiasm an employee has for their job. I loved my job until I came here. Perhaps the managers are the ones who should ask themselves how much people here really care about their work anymore and how does that affect the company? Oh yes, I forgot, they don't care about this company at all.

I haven't cared since 2010 when I hit 30 years.
They don't care, I'll reciprocate.

If there’s ever any aspect of your job that you actually enjoy, they will find a way to make you hate it.

I think after SBC bought T it’s been downhill from there. SBC was by no means a perfect company. The one thing that was important was the customer. Today the one thing that is important is making money for the folks who get the big checks.

Another silly post from an overpaid union worker complaining about “the management”. If I had a nickel……….

Well if I had a nickel for every dollar that "leadership" cost AT&T, I would have 50+ million dollars. You understand that if Stankey had not "clawed back" the dividend (as Stankey rotates his pathetic hands in rotating motion on the Town Hall) AT&T would not
be able to pay the dividend and expand the fiber network. Yep, must the the fault of the workforce.

I couldn't care less about my job, actually wish they would lay me off so I can get motivated to look for a job elsewhere! I do my job just to get it done and don't really care how it looks. It's hard to get motivated when the job is easy and the pay is very good! I'll stick around for as long as they'll let me cuz the pay isn't as good with other companies from what I have seen.

I think all the really good and knowledgeable managers left. T had to promote people who lack the talent that is necessary in this business.
