Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Is it too late now?

When we understand that DXC's "transformation" is an illusion and doesn't exist, it becomes easy to understand why the company is failing. The pace of change in IT has accelerated dramatically over the last few years; DXC has failed to keep up and is now becoming irrelevant.

I absolutely agree with this poster who pointed out the company's inability to adapt to the modern IT world. I hope it's still not too late for that?

Sadly, I think it is too late. Sal had the chance to make a real transformation when he took over. He could have stopped the cuts, he could have motivated employees and increased morale, he could have stopped the endless lies.

But, despite him telling everyone to "Do what you say", he didn't do what he said. He lied to staff, lied to customers, and continues to lie to shareholders and investors.

DXC now is like watching a slow-motion train wreck. Just when you think it can't get any worse, he decides to take $500M out of the cost base - and the only way he can do that is by more staff cuts. This in turn will lead to declining quality of service, and declining revenues.

It seems to me that DXC has been cut too far, and suffered too much reputational damage to survive in its current form. It will either go to a merger / buy-out, or the viable parts will be sold off, and the rest allowed to run down until it finally dies.

Based on UK performance, DXC UK will cease to exist within 2 - 3 years, as there won't be any customers left.
