I worked with a man in security, risk area, who left about a month ago and now has bigger and better pay. I don’t blame him, he left before he got a job. From what I seen he became distant over the space of a few months. What I’m not a fan of is that he made my job a lot easier. I didn’t have to run around the security teams to find out who I needed to speak to, he usually got them to work with me. He explained issues so I could understand and relate to with jargon. He even called out when other security people used jargon to cover up laziness. Anyone else found their job is harder because people are leaving other areas? All I get now is ‘that’s not my area’ and not told where I should be going next.

I know they are talking about me. I was the one who knew and helped all folks who needed help where I can , but truth to be told even I was loosing lot my relation due to attrition. I never felt these bad working for Allstate in last 15 years.. and I knew that my value will only be found after I leave my job.

So instead of delegating your work to this individual now you have to do it on your own. You’re upset about this. I can tell you are definitely an Allstater, BOYO!
The trolls are out in full force. Good post. Yep. There’s no one to “talk” to anymore. Allstate wants it all digital now. They’ve lost the art of the “relationship”. Always a day of reckoning when they find out “ge-z, I guess relationships within the employees base is important”. But that never lasts long as they have an addiction to technology and digital communications. Time to find an employer who is real not one that is going to bots for all interactions.
