In the US, can salaried employees sue for "false promises"? Mikey clearly stated in the all hands meeting that raises were coming in August.

I'd look at your employment contract....oh wait....
- Meets all goals and performance expectations and may exceed some.
- Strong contribution and impact on their team and/or business.
- Consistently demonstrates the DXC Values.

I heard news on increases will be released in the 2Q, and that news will you don't get any because we are not doing any better and I (the executives ) already got ours before the real finance data went public
Just the big guys get the raises and bonuses. Sc--w all of us. Ive been waiting almost 15 years for one.
Given the promises made in DXC are usually so far-fetched as to be believed, you'd have to convince a lawyer that you really believed they were going to pay you.
Proprietary estoppel legal doctrine would apply if you can prove that you personally were given a direct promise that YOU would receive money for doing something, like hitting your objectives and the company hitting theirs. Then you would need to identify the loss and suffering you incurred as a direct consequence of the loss of the gain promised as damages you are now likely to seek. DXC would argue that any promise was only to conduct a pay review to establish if all the criteria had been met and whether the affordability of payouts could be met.
Above all, I would think this would be the best time to move to a better job. Companies are struggling to find skills at the moment and the top 3 responses to hiring difficulties for companies is 1) upskill existing staff, 2) advertise more flexible jobs and 3) raising wages to attract staff - which is why so many people who are successful are getting 20%+ salaries, because the market will pay that and more at the moment.
Seriously, just get out.
DXC's leadership lie every time they open their mouths. Shouty isn't capable of being truthful. He doesn't do what he says. Why stay?
Most folks who leave get:
- More money
- Less stress
- No threats of WFR every 3 months
If you leave, you may have to work harder. But that comes with more money, more rewards, and more chances to build a career.
I ask, why would you stay at DXC? The only thing you'll get is layed-off sooner or later.
You know what would be easier and cheaper? If you just found a new job. Get out of this shithole company, it’s not worth the effort.
