I'd have happily volunteered if they had offered me an option before the company started laying people off. I know a lot of people who'd love to be paid to leave this mess so I know for a fact I wouldn't have been the only one to jump at this opportunity. I don't want to sound disrespectful of what some of you are going through right now, but I wish I was among those who were sent packing.
