Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

EV update

It was announced that we have entered into an agreement with GM to buy 175k EV’s. This initiative will take place over the next 5 years. Hope that’s enough time to figure out the EV process in the field. Right now the field can’t charge or repair them efficiently. The learning curve for customers is unreal. Field ops doesn’t have the man power to train the customers.

The original poster is correct. The EV’s are not working out as Sr. Leadership has planned. Many issues with getting chargers installed at airport locations. The average customer has no interest in learning how to charge and use an EV.

Hahaha. What is there to train? Instead of putting gas in, plug the car in. Press the button to start. Transmission is used to move the car from park, reverse, and drive. boohoo I can't figure out how to charge it. Did you stop to think that the GM cars are way easier than the over priced/over complicated Elon teslas? The smartest people are on a layoff site complaining about the job they didn't get let go from.
