Heard a rumor from a couple of different sources that compensation was adjusted, up, again to bring in line with the marketplace. Supposedly this happened about a year ago as well. Supposedly does not apply to everyone in those spaces - digital/technology/information security. Anyone heard anymore on this?

I heard through the grapevine that some on the tech side were given financial compensation during the whole 'great resignation' thing that was going on after the coronavirus was winding down as a one time retention bonus. My understanding is it was only given to a select number that were identified as critical. How widespread it was I do not know.
Pfft. My raise was 1.7% last year. I can now buy my dog a box of treats a year
